by Nicola Grant on July 15, 2022

So to all the new parents out there we are going to look at the hot Topic of what is best to dress your baby in, what is best for a newborn baby when it comes to sleep suits. With so many options on the market these days from cotton To velour we look at your choices for your new infant. As many of us will know from reading the magazines and books given to us before childbirth the temperature for the infant and the room is of the utmost importance but this also includes what a baby will sleep in and we don't want to be fiddling about at 3o clock in the morning where we looking to change the phooey bum in the world so we want to make it easy.
With the recommendation of a room between 16 to 20 degrees Celsius we can change clothing for baby in winter and summer to see this ideally in winter a long sleeved vest and bottoms with a grobag of 3 2.5 to 3.5 tog in winter if it's very warm outside. We have attached a diagram below to show the different ways to put dress your baby in the warm weather as to not overheat.

The guide shows that in the temperatures of 27 degrees plus, babies should be sleeping either in just a nappy, or a nappy and vests."It is important we make sure baby doesn’t get too hot or too cold for safe sleep without in creased risk of SIDS.
